当今为成化斗彩科学命名，是沿袭清人并不完全的认识呢，还是起用明人自己的称呼？我们觉得，
还是以“成化斗彩”冠名为善，但是，必须重作科学阐述。“成化斗彩”称呼约定俗成已有二百年
左右，人们在研究实践中也不断地以自己的经验充实“成化斗彩”的认识内涵，海内外相关人士皆
知“成化斗彩”，因此，易名不善。我们可以给“斗彩”概念重下定义为“以釉下青花与釉上彩色
相结合的、以钩勒填充、点缀、渲染、覆盖、拼凑等装饰方法表现的彩瓷工艺。这样下定义便对传
统概念作了科学的扬弃。而“斗”字，仍取“拚逗”之意和“斗妍”之趣。
