A general certificate of origin is a document proving that the goods are originated in a particular country or region and are subject to the normal tariff (most favored nation) treatment of the importing country. It uses import and export trade with any country. Its full name is certificate of origin. The scope of application is tariffs, trade statistics, safeguards, discriminatory quantitative restrictions, anti-dumping and countervailing, origin marking, procurement, etc. The general certificate of origin (c.o.) can be divided into two types, one is issued by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (ccpit), and the other is issued by the China Import and Export Inspection and Quarantine Center (ciq). Among them, ccpit is an institution that can represent the China International Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, when foreign importers ask the exporter to issue a co issued by the China Chamber of Commerce, they can go to the CCPIT to stamp the chapter “ccpit on behalf of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce”. Certificate of origin is an important document for international trade. (ps: Certificate of Origin is the “nationality” or “location of the household registration” of the exported goods)
