In ancient times, in order to show their filial piety, the elder generation and grandchildren specially made a number of birthday bowls for birthday celebrations, and some longevity beggars put them into their pockets when they were drunk. The earliest bowls of longevity appeared in the Ming Dynasty, when the bowls were engraved with various "longevity" words or symbols of longevity such as peaches, pine and cypress, cranes and so on.The symbols of longevity are mostly taken from natural objects, either because they have a long life, such as tortoise, crane, pine and cypress, even Mount Tai and Shoushi, or because they are legendary. Articles such as peaches, wolfberries, Ganoderma lucidum, chrysanthemum and so on can make people live longer. These symbols are combined and structured in a pictorial way to form auspicious patterns for longevity blessings, such as "the turtle and crane are at the same age", "the turtle and crane are painted", "five blessings celebrate longevity", "five bats surround longevity", "Zhixian wish longevity", "Ganoderma lucidum, narcissus, bamboo and Shoushi", "Chinese wolfberry, chrysanthemum extend longevity", "chrysanthemum and wolfberry".From the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, the longevity bowl, collectively known as the "universal version" longevity bowl, the popular version of the folk longevity bowl pays attention to practical value, while the emperor's longevity bowl reflects its commemorative and collection value. During the period of the Republic of China, the name and age of the longevity star were carved on the bowl body or the bottom of the bowl. In this period, the longevity bowl was collectively called "engraved longevity bowl". Emperors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties made bowls for their birthday celebrations several times. Emperors Kangxi, Qianlong and Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty were taken as examples. Every time they came to their birthday, they instructed the palace affairs office to make bowls which could be called "handicraft" and engraved with the words "longevity without boundaries". The earliest bowls appeared because of their specific origins and characteristics. Craft, the general owner will treasure up, passed on to future generations. This bowl is regular in shape, open, arc belly, short circle foot. The fetus is delicate and firm, the glaze juice is bright and moist, and the glaze color is white and yellowish. The whole decorative painting is ancient and vigorous, the layout of the picture is elegant and elegant, and the image of the characters is vivid and vivid, which is really a rare boutique.
