Konica Minotla Spectrophotometer
Quantification of the color, from the obtaining of color coordinates.
The teletophotometer is used to record the colorimetric characteristics of works of art from coordinates (Color Space, CIE 1976 L * a * b * or XYZ), in order to obtain accurate color data and detect possible alterations. It allows the control of its chromatic stability, as well as the quantitative evaluation of the most suitable material (in terms of color variation introduced with its application or in terms of predicting its color resistance over time) for each restoration process. In addition to the intrinsic variables (chromatic components), one can also determine the extrinsic (shape, size and neighboring colors). It enables us to quantify the chromatic changes experienced in works of art, both during their restoration process and over time
