It has excellent adhesion strength and it provides good protection against corrosion. This material is specifically designed for metal to metal combinations with slow to fast movements with high loads. It has a service temperature of -25 to 110 degrees Celsius and it can handle short periods in a temperature of 130 degrees Celsius. It is also beneficial to use this product where there is a threat of groove formation, fretting corrosion or moisture. This grease has a NLGI consistency class of 2 under the DIN 51 818 standard. Molykote Longterm 2 Plus High Performance Grease is composed of many materials including mineral oil, solid lubricants, lithium soap, EP additive, corrosion inhibitor and an adhesion improver. This product has been used effectively for spline profiles, bearings clutches, tractors, cranes, forklift trucks and conveyor belts. The advanced grease is designed for long-term lubrication. Molykote Longterm 2 Plus has a high load carrying capacity and it will provide excellent wear protection because of the EP Additives and solid lubricants. This high quality material is also capable of being used in central lubrication systems.
